BLACK DOG PROMOTIONS AND BROADJAM
UNITE TO HELP INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS January 9, 2003,
Tempe, AZ—Black Dog Promotions and Broadjam have united to help promote
independent musicians worldwide through a special program that allows Black Dog
customers to participate in the Musicians of Broadjam (MoB) program. Each Black Dog MoB member will receive a free one-year
membership to Broadjam.com, a Web site that allows musicians to upload MP3s for
review by peers, fans and even music industry professionals. Top rated songs
will be eligible for Broadjam’s famed Top 10 lists. A new Black Dog/Broadjam
Top 10 list, featuring Black Dog MoB members exclusively, will be posted daily
at BlackDogPromotions.com to enhance exposure for these artists. Using the same tools provided to record companies and
publishers, Broadjam creates its Top 10 lists based on genres and demographics
to help thousands of daily visitors discover this new music. For example, if a
visitor is looking for a song that appeals to 15- to 24-year-olds, Broadjam can
instantly recall the top 10 songs for that age group. Broadjam's Top 10 lists
are based on how favorably reviewers rate the songs—not how many times a song
is streamed. This places quality over quantity and adds credibility to the
site's artists. Broadjam's song database is also searchable according to
subgenre, geographic location, subject matter and tempo, to name a few. The Black Dog MoB membership provides artists with a Web
page, song hosting and the ability to transmit music to anyone in the world.
Black Dog customers can sign up for this free service (a $49.95 value) atwww.broadjam.com/signup/BlackDog. Black Dog Founder, Scott Kelly, explained, “We are really
looking forward to launching this service with Broadjam. They are providing a
dynamic Web site for each of our artists that includes song hosting and audio
streaming in multiple formats. Their
clutter-free Artist Profile page will make a great home for our musicians. This
is a great opportunity for independent artists everywhere to get noticed.” Broadjam, Inc. Founder and CEO, Roy Elkins, stated, “We
are excited to be working with Black Dog Promotions in the launch of this new,
comprehensive promotional tool for independent artists. Black Dog has a great
reputation for promoting independent music, deploying street teams, and managing
artists. We are delighted to provide yet another tool for Black Dog artists
through Broadjam.” About Black Dog Promotions
